We hope you all are excited for this upcoming school year as the William Paterson Music Department has a new Department Chair, Dr. Carol Frierson-Campbell.
There are many new and interesting student ideas for the department this semester. One idea is the use of streaming certain student midday concerts and recitals over the internet via Webcam on http://www.ustream.tv/ for viewing by audiences across the globe. The streams will not feature concerts that require paid admission, and, music which is not in the public domain. Instead, they will feature student concerts and ensembles for parents, non-music students and music department partners around the world to see.
Another new idea, which you are reading now, is the WPU Music Department Blog. This blog will be used as a tool for faculty to express their creative writing and share anything they wish. Feel free to browse through other articles on this blog, as the Music Department faculty is one-of-a-kind and highly knowledgeable about their content areas and can offer exorbitant amounts of information to you.
